Information about Calvari
Welcome to this beautiful house in the historical centre of Pollensa, a few metres away from the central square. It offers accommodation for 4 people and the possibility to enjoy this town full of history and charm during your vacation.
This lovely town house will transform your vacation into an unforgettable experience. It is a big Mallorcan house with two floors. It features two terraces, one on the main floor and the other on the top floor, so that you can enjoy a good breakfast or a barbecue al fresco as well as of a good time basking in the sun one one of the two sun loungers.
Upon entering, you will find a small hall leading to a comfortable living-dining room with a fireplace, the perfect place to relax, read a book or take a nap. The dining area has a table with four chairs where you can enjoy your meals in comfort. Next, you will find a separate kitchen equipped with everything you may need to prepare your favourite dishes, including a ceramic hob, coffee maker and electric oven, as well as other utensils and appliances. Upstairs, there is a second living room with a Smart TV, air conditioning and a wood-burning stove. The property has two bedrooms with wardrobes: one with two single beds, air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, and another with a double bed and enough space for a cot and a high chair. The shared bathroom is fitted with a bathtub. A washing machine, iron and ironing board are also available. In addition, up to four radiators can be provided upon request.
The surroundings of the house are amazing. The town of Pollensa is one of the most beautiful places in Mallorca, and this is the reason why many artists choose Pollensa as their favourite place in the island. Summer nights are perfect to have a walk and come to know the historical monuments, narrow streets and ancient traditions, the music concerts, art exhibitions, bars, restaurants, shops, terraces at the lively Major Square,... The beaches of Puerto de Pollensa, Cala Sant Vicent and Formentor are about 10 minutes away by car. These are breathtaking white sandy beaches with crystalline waters. The promenade invites to admire the beautiful views to the bay and the beach.

The house is perfectly situated in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the city centre. Beautiful mornings on the roof terrace. Good starting point for trips around the mountains and to the water. Can be highly recommended.

We loved the roof terrace with its views over the rooftops of Pollenca and also to the mountains and down the valley towards Cala San Vicente. Only a short walk into town where there are a great selection of interesting shops and restaurants. Parking was easy and I would highly recommend. We hope to come back next year.

Les deux grandes chambres disposent chacune d'une salle de bain. Il y a également un grand patio intérieur ombragé avec une cuisine d'été pour les journées chaudes. L'ensemble se repartit sur l'équivalent d'un étage avec des demi-niveaux, donc pas trop de grimpette. La maison est très bien située, à deux pas du pont romain et de son parking gratuit (important). L'accès se fait par quelques marches sur une voie calme et piétonne. Vous êtes à quelques minutes à pied de la Plaça Mayor. Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances à Pollensa qui est une des rares villes de l'île à avoir conservé son cachet et ses habitants. Beaucoup de chouettes ballades de dans les alentours, notamment sur le cap Formentor et la péninsule d'Alcudia. La région est très belle et l'accès aux plages facile. On est loin du tourisme de masse. Je recommande la maison sans hésiter.

The whole thing is spread over the equivalent of one floor with half-levels, so not too much climbing. The house is very well located, a stone's throw from the Roman bridge and its (important) free parking. Access is via a few steps on a quiet, pedestrian path. You are a few minutes walk from Plaça Mayor. We had an excellent holiday in Pollensa which is one of the rare towns on the island to have preserved its character and its inhabitants. Lots of great walks in the surrounding area, particularly on Cape Formentor and the Alcudia peninsula. The region is very beautiful and access to the beaches is easy. We are far from mass tourism. I recommend the house without hesitation.

A short walk into Pollenca. This house is lovely. Set on 3 floors, it is presented so beautifully. We found it exceptionally clean, with lovely fresh bed linen and fluffy towels. The bed was really comfy. The photos don't really show the size of the house and how beautifully decorated it is, with lovely ornaments and art. The top roof terrace is lovely for morning coffee in the sunshine and for watching the stars at night. There are beach mats and umbrellas and buckets and spades etc for the kids to take to the beach. The hallway is huge so we could safely store our bikes. There is also a Nespresso machine which was very easy and nice. Very comfortable, safe and homely.

The house was clean with a friendly touch of a bottle of wine, box of chocolates and a bottle of water. The towels and sheets were changed after about 8 days. Knowing the area was helpful so shopping and visiting was easy. We had regular trips the the beach, only about 10 minutes away, to Cala San Vicentc. Parking was an experience as it was street parking and with narrow streets and locals parking so not much space was available. My wife and I both said the we would consider coming here again and certainly recommend it to family and friends.

This place is clean, comfortable and has some nice outdoor spaces. There was always parking on the street nearby, and even being on the edge of town it’s still a short walk into the center. The service that hosts this was very responsive to email and a small concern I had was taken care of within an hour of me sending an email.

Casa Calvari is a fantastic home and we wished we could stay longer. This is in the oldest part of Pollença and this is so beautiful that we felt like we were in a Fellini movie set! Walking distance to everything in Pollença. Street parking was no problem. The house itself is very spacious, very clean and we felt right at home. Our hosts were very helpful and flexible to ensure we had a great stay.
